    Tvp Gravy

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup tvp
    • 7/8 cup water
    • 1 medium onion
    • oil for frying
    • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
    • 1/3 cup cold water
    • 3 cups soymilk
    • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp celery seed
    • 2 tblsp margarine
    • pepper to taste

    Instructions

    Soak 1 cup TVP in 7/8 cup boiling water. Chop and saute onion in oil. Remove from heat and add flour, then whisk in the 1/3 cup cold water. Add soymilk, and heat on medium until gravy thickens. Cook for 10 more minutes over a low heat. Whisk in the tvp and the rest of the ingredients and serve. (Potatoes are recommended for this recipe).
