Tofu/cottage Cheese in Tomato Gravy
Ingredients
- 300 gm cottage cheese and/or tofu
- 500 gm red tomatoes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1 tsp minced ginger and garlic
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- 1 Tbsp fresh cream
- 1 Tbsp butter
- Fresh coriander for garnishing
Instructions
Boil tomatoes, peel and chop into big pieces. Pour oil in a wok, put onion and fry till transparent. Add tomatoes and cook till a thick gravy is formed. Add salt, paprika powder, pepper powder, minced ginger and garlic, oregano, sugar and butter. Cook for 5 minutes. Add cottage cheese/tofu pieces cut into 1" squares. Boil for another 5-10 minutes. Garnish with fresh cream and fresh coriander. Serve hot.
