Just four ingredients? How does country fried steak get any better? I love Au Jus mix because it is so versatile allowing you to use it in many dishes and types of food. I like to put it in a big ole pot roast just as well as in my meatloaf.

This is a very good basic tutorial on frying steak. Nothing fancy or complicated, just the absolute nitty gritty. Something I was taught some years ago was to always add a small amount of butter when frying steak and I happy pass this on to you. The exact lesson was oil for browning, butter for flavor. Trust me, it really is true.

I have looked at a few fried steak recipes. This one looks pretty good and fuss free. I think it may be quite tasty with the salt seasoning which would be nice. I think me and my family are going to enjoy this. I am going to have to have a fried steak taste fiesta to see which one they prefer the most.

I like her tip for making sure the oil is at the right temperature. I always throw in a little flour to see if it bubbles. I like the spoon trick better. I do wish there were measurements listed. Even as just a guideline would be nice. I like seasoning it before coating with flour so the taste doesn't end up in the oil.
