This is such a great and super simple donut recipe! The one catch is you do need a donut pan in order to bake them. If not, try a mini muffin pan and you can always call them "pumpkin duffins" (donut/muffins). I recommend baking the donuts as directed minus 2 minutes and then lightly pan frying them in a little bit of oil. Baked donuts don't have that bakery taste so the little bit of oil definitely helps with that flavor!!
