How does this recipe end up when it is cooked? Is it browned on the outside like the picture, or is it more of a boiled potato texture? I like the recipe, but I want to make sure my hashbrowns are browned and not steamed. It sounds like a delicious meal to make quick and easy.

I made this tonight & I personally think it is to salty & soupy so when I make it again I will not add any water & I added a dash of pepper & used Kroger Brand Hash Browns so they are not strings of potatoes, they are cubes & they are Southwestern which added some kick to it. I still have to eat it & add just a little cheese. It is very tasty & good. High recommend.
