I am trying to find the perfect birthday cake for my nephews up and coming seventh birthday, although I don't think this would go down well with seven year olds, I think this is right up my alley) I love lemon cakes and the fact this looks to be gooey as well it makes it look that bit more tempting!! Has anyone tried this?

If this cake tastes half as good as it looks, then we have a new favorite dessert. I am not one for lemon desserts, but this one looks so tasty, how can you resist. I like ashleroo's idea about making a chocolate version of this cake too. I always want something chocolate, but lemon is perfect for spring.

My Dad LOVES this dessert. It is the best of both worlds, it's a little bit of cake and a little bit of pudding. The result is super moist! If you love lemon, give this a try. The bonus is that it is all done with a cake mix (SO EASY!) My family loves doing a variation where we subbed in a box of chocolate cake mix and chocolate pudding mix (my brother's favourite combo) It would be fun to try different pudding/cake combos and see what you can come up with!

Cake and lemon pudding together. Heaven on a plate. My family goes crazy for lemon desserts. I think this would be a favorite at any group dinner too. I think you could probably take a chocolate cake mix and a chocolate pudding option.
