Bingo Night Beef Bake

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 (14-1/2-ounce) jar Prego® Alfredo Sauce-Homestyle Alfredo
- 1 medium tomato, chopped (about 1 cup)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)
- 1 package (7.5 ounce) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cook the beef in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.

Stir in the sauce, tomato and Worcestershire and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes. Spoon the beef mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with the cheese, if desired. Arrange the biscuits on the beef mixture.

Bake for 10 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.

We tried this recipe again last night with a slight modification - we served it on buns with sprinkles of grated cheese - and we call it Sloppy Joes Alfredo. So the name should be Sloppy Joes Alfredo Bake or Sloppy Joe Alfredo Casserole. By the way we are preparing it again tonight and trying pine nuts in it.

The way it's presented in the dish-it looks like islands, so I would call it the Alfredo Burger Islands.

this is representative of depression era cooking - dressed up fancy with the alfredo sauce and biscuits - use milk and flour and a flour shortening milk mix for biscuits. beef and dumplings would work or beef 'n biscuits.

I suggest.......WHAMPUM Casserole. You use canned biscuits that you have to "WHAMPUM" on the counter to open the canned biscuits.
