How big are these cake balls? I seen you say something about a melon baller to scoop the batter and lay it out. Do they fluff up a lot when you bake them, or are they the size of a melon ball when done? I may need to make several batches for all of my guests.

These look terrific. I have made cake balls once before with chocolate cake and frosting. I also like the variety made with Oreo cookies that I've seen lately. I would love to try these because they look so light and airy. The sprinkles on top are adorable. Does anyone recommend adding a small amount of shortening to the white chocolate disks to thin it out a bit and make coating them easier?

Cake balls are delicious but I've never made them myself. I'm not sure why that is because they seem so easy to make!

I would love to make these cake balls. I love the fact that they contain champagne. I can imagine that adding in a certain sweetness although I suppose you could add a dry, Brut, champagne which I like. I think this is such a novel idea. A definite ice breaker if you go with them to a party. They look amazing.
