Who says buttermilk biscuits are just for dinner? These puppies make excellent donuts. We used them all the time when I was a kid. My mom made her share off homemade donut dough, but when she was in a hurry, this was her go-to option for a tasty breakfast treat.

I have made these donuts before and they are very good but don't expect them to have the same texture or flavor as store bought donuts. They really absorb the flavor of the oil so they tend to be very greasy. I recommend frying these in a wok to limit the added greasiness!

These look so quick and delicious! They would be a great treat to make for Father's Day!

one of my favorite treats....Mom made them in the 50's....still love them today..
