    Tex mex Pinto Beans

    Ingredients

    • 2 pounds dry pinto beans, soaked overnight
    • 1/4-1/2 lb salt pork, cut into small pieces
    • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
    • 3-5 jalapeno peppers
    • 5-10 garlic cloves
    • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
    • 1 tbsp salt, or to taste
    • 3 tbsp chili powder
    • 1 tbsp cumin
    • 2 tsps oregano

    Instructions

    Mix all ingredients, bring to boil. Once boiling, turn to low and let cook all day or until tender. Excellent with fajitas and fresh flour tortillas!
