Polynesian Burgers
You will feel like you have had an island break with the captivating flavors in this great little burger. Topped with a slice of pineapple, every bite will take you to the shores of Hawaii. Enjoy this exotic hamburger recipe, and try something different.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 can (8-ounces) pineapple slices in juice, undrained
- 1 can Campbell's Condensed French Onion Soup
- 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 French bread, cut crosswise into 6 pieces
Instructions

Shape the beef into 6 (1/2-inch thick) burgers.

Cook the burgers in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, or on a grill, until well browned on both sides. Pour off any fat. Top each burger with 1 slice pineapple. Reserve the pineapple juice.

Stir the soup, reserved pineapple juice, sugar and vinegar in a small bowl. Add the soup mixture to the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the burgers are cooked through.

Split the bread pieces. Serve the burgers and sauce on the bread.

Pineapple slices and French onion soup? I am not sure what I think about that combination. I am game to try it. I am just hesitant. I love the brown sugar and apple cider. I know what that flavor combo does for burgers, so I am curious to see how this recipe turns out.

these are very good. To make it even more "Hawaiian", add some minced garlic and grate a little fresh ginger to the sauce when cooking it.
