Apple Coffee Cake
This moist apple coffee cake is made with fresh apples, cinnamon and a touch of sour cream. It's the perfect cake for afternoon snacking, brunch or parties.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup sour cream (light or yogurt)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup nuts
- 4 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 apples, peeled and sliced
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream.
- Put half of batter in pan. Lay apple slices on batter and sprinkle 1/2 of topping over them. Add remaining batter and sprinkle topping on it.
- Bake in 350 degree F oven 35-40 minutes.

Hello there! Thanks for your comments! As far as pan size, I would go with an 11x7 baking dish. For apple slices, I would keep them pretty thin, but not flimsy. Maybe 1 inch thick and its widest point. If there's a better way to go, definitely let us know.
