I love cinnamon, especially in baking. The smell is awesome. I can't think of a spice I like more than cinnamon. I am going to make this cake and I'm definitely adding on the frosting "glaze", I love that. It made me think of a Chelsea bun which contains raisins. I am sure you could add raisins to this batter and I think I am going to try that out.

I have always known this as cinnamon bread except I have never put icing on it. It is really good and alternating the batter with the cinnamon sugar mixture is not as complicated as it may sound. It is really neat how it swirls together and looks like you rolled the dough up with cinnamon and sugar inside. Great whether or not you choose to frost it.

This looks so amazing! The pictures make me really hungry. Too bad you can't smell recipes! I think this looks a little bit complicated with its layers and lots of ingredients, but what a lovely dessert for a special occasion. I think I'll make it for a family get together.
