I'm going to make this cake for dessert on Christmas day. I would already have the slow cooker out because of our "midnight snack slow cooker coffee cake" so I may as well. There is something about lemon that settles the stomach after a full meal so this should be perfect. The ice cream would also be perfect for a hot day too as it's hot in South Africa at Christmas time. I don't know what packed lemon zest is so I'm just going to zest my own lemons from our tree outside.
