Almond Paste for Pastries
Create an almond paste in under 3 minutes. This nutty, sweet concoction is delicious when mixed into cookies, used as a cake filling or a flavoring in layer bars.
Ingredients
- 1 cup blanched almonds
- 2 tablespoons fruit sweetener or corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Process almonds in food processor until very finely ground. Mix in sweetener and extracts.
- Cut butter into 6 pieces. While processor is running, add butter pieces and process for 30 seconds until well combined.
