Chocolate Fudge
Ingredients
- 4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- dash salt
Instructions
Gradually add sugar to softened cream cheese, mixing well after each addition. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Spread into greased 8" square pan. Chill several hours or overnight; cut into squares. garnish with additional nuts, if desired. Variations: Omit nuts and vanilla; add a few drops peppermint extract and 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candy. Omit nuts; add 1 cup shredded coconut. Omit nuts; add 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries.
