    Great German Hard Candy/Taffy

    Some may be unfamiliar with German hard candy, but it is actually a very quick and easy candy recipe that anyone can make! This Great German Hard Candy/Taffy is a great candy to serve out as dessert at parties or any family gathering.

    Ingredients

    • 2 pounds granulated sugar
    • 2 pounds brown sugar
    • 1/4 pound butter
    • add:
    • 1 shot glass vinegar
    • 1 cup water
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla

    Instructions

    1. Dissolve in pot of water (hot, but not quite boiling).

    2. Boil until forms a ball in cold water.
       
    3. Pour into buttered pie pans.
