Italian Sesame Seed Candy
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 pound honey
- 1 1/2 pound sesame seeds
- juice of one orange
- grated rind of the orange
- 1 pound almonds chopped/ toasted
Instructions
Bring sugar and honey to a rolling boil. add the sesame seeds, orange juice, rind and almonds and cook and stir on low bubble heat stirring constantly. Pour mixture on a board or a sheet pan. Press to flatten. Cool 10 minutes. Cut into pieces and let cool completely on wax paper.
