Ingredients
- 6 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 4 1/2 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Paprika, to taste
- 1 can artichoke hearts, drained
- 1 pound shrimp, cooked
- 1/4 pound fresh mushroom slices
- 1/4 cup sherry
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Melt 4 1/2 tablespoons of the butter and stir in the flour.
- Gradually add milk and cream, stirring constantly over low heat.
- When thickened, season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange artichokes on bottom of buttered baking dish and scatter shrimp over them.
- Cook mushrooms in remaining butter and scatter on top.
- Add sherry and Worcestershire sauce to cream sauce and pour over.
- Sprinkle in Parmesan cheese and paprika.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
