    Ingredients

    • 6 1/2 tablespoons butter
    • 4 1/2 tablespoons flour
    • 3/4 cup milk
    • 3/4 cup heavy cream
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • Paprika, to taste
    • 1 can artichoke hearts, drained
    • 1 pound shrimp, cooked
    • 1/4 pound fresh mushroom slices
    • 1/4 cup sherry
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
       
    2. Melt 4 1/2 tablespoons of the butter and stir in the flour.
       
    3. Gradually add milk and cream, stirring constantly over low heat.
       
    4. When thickened, season with salt and pepper.
       
    5. Arrange artichokes on bottom of buttered baking dish and scatter shrimp over them.
       
    6. Cook mushrooms in remaining butter and scatter on top.
       
    7. Add sherry and Worcestershire sauce to cream sauce and pour over.
       
    8. Sprinkle in Parmesan cheese and paprika.
       
    9. Bake for 20 minutes.
