This recipe looks amazing! It reminds me of baked cavatelli I make often for my family. I think I could try this instead and it would be a big hit. There are so many pizza toppings you could add, you could make this often and no one would complain. I am thinking this would be delicious with mushrooms, green peppers, and black olives.

Thanks to Janice L below for the hint about draining the pasta early so it doesn't overcook in the casserole. I'd also add a few more of my favorite pizza toppings, like some chopped green pepper and onion to the dish. My wife would definitely include some mushrooms as well. As mentioned, this is a great easy dish to make for a quick dinner or a potluck. I'm definitely adding this to my collection of potluck recipes.

I love this! I have made this several tomes. It is pretty versatile. Just use whatever meat or veggies you have on hand for toppings. My family doesn't really like pepperoni unless there are plenty of other toppings. I have used other types of pasta and all of them taste good. However, the spiral works best because the sauce coats it really well.

I love eating Italian food and this is the best of both worlds, pizza and pasta all rolled into one, all in one casserole. This recipe only has a few ingredients, and is quick and easy to make. What could be better when you are hungry at dinnertime? Only one suggestion, drain the pasta when it is still slightly undercooked so that it won't be too soft after baking in the oven. Then the pasta will be just right.
