This sounds like a delicious Italian pasta casserole that is quick and easy to prepare. Pasta dinners are always popular with the family so everyone should enjoy this. For this recipe, I would use lean ground beef, substitute the spicy spaghetti sauce with a milder variety of jar spaghetti sauce, include fresh sliced mushrooms, and use lite sour cream and low fat mozzarella cheese. The macaroni should be drained while it is still underdone because it will continue to cook in the oven. Then, the consistency of the pasta will be good in the casserole.
