Chicken Divan Devine
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 10 oz can chicken broth
- 2 tbs worchestershire sauce
- 3 Tbs sweet sherry
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 3 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 16 ounces sour cream
- 2 cups diced cooked chicken
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 pound sliced mushrooms
Instructions
Melt butter insaucepan and whisk in flour to make a paste. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, worchestershire, and sherry stirring constantly until smooth, Stir in about 2 cups cheese a little at a time till melted. Set aside to cool a bit. Steam fresh broccoli until tender or defrost frozen broccoli. Add sour cream to sauce gradually and blend smooth. Stir in minced onion. Mix chicken, broccoli and mushrooms and sauce Place in casserole dish and top with remaining cheese. Bake 350 about 30 minutes until hotand sauce is bubbly. Note: Can use mixture to fill crepes
