Green Chile Chili

Notes
Serve with sour cream and cheese. This is not an especially hot recipe. You can make it hotter by using medium or hot green chilies, adding more tobasco, or more pepper.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 can mild green chiles
- dash Tabasco
- dash red pepper
- fresh cilantro leaves to taste
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 28 ounce can stewed tomatoes
- 1 6 ounce can tomato paste
- 1 14 ounce can pinto beans
Instructions
- Brown garlic in a bit of oil, then add ground beef and cook until it is brown throughout.
- Using a spoon, remove some of the grease from the ground beef.
- Add the remainder of the ingredients and simmer for about 30 minutes.

I would never add pinto beans to the stew/chili. I'd serve them on the side with fried potatoes and flour tortillas! YUM
