Jalapeno Chili
If you want to spice up a meal, this homemade chili recipe is for you. Jalapeno Chili may sound like a hot option, but with ingredients like powdered cocoa and Worcestershire sauce, this meal is sure to be a delight.

Ingredients
- 1/4 pound bacon, chopped
- 2 onions, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 pounds ground beef (or 1 pound ground beef and 1 pound ground pork)
- 6 jalapeno peppers, chopped
- 6 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon powdered cocoa
- 3 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 can (28-ounce) tomato sauce or tomatoes
Instructions
- Saute bacon until clear.
- Add onion and cook until translucent.
- Add garlic and cook about 3-4 minutes.
- Add ground beef and peppers. Cook until beef is browned.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour. If it seems to dry out, add some water or tomato sauce.
- You can add some cooked pinto or kidney beans at this point and cook another hour to meld the flavors. If you want the chili to be hotter, you can add more jalapenos.
