Drought Ginger Nuts
Ingredients
- 4 ounces margarine
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- small cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- pinch salt
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 egg
Instructions
Rub margarine into dry ingredients; mix with beaten egg and add syrup. Roll into balls, and cook in a moderate oven. Should crack across tops.
