    Snail Cookies

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup butter or margarine
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 3 1/2 cups flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 1 lb. dates
    • 1 cup water

    Instructions

    Boil filling until thick. Mix dough. Generously flour work surface. Pat small amount of cookie dough on floured board. Spread with cooled date filling. Roll like a jelly roll and wrap in waxed paper. Freeze, then slice. Bake at 350 degrees F.
