Almond Oatmeal Crescents
This cookie recipe is perfect for the holidays, but would be a tasty treat any time of the year. They make a wonderful treat for sharing with family, friends, and coworkers, plus, they make a nice teacher's gift, too.

Ingredients
- 1 cup margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1 cup Quaker Oats, uncooked
- 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
2. Beat margarine and almond extract until fluffy.
3. Gradually beat in sugar.
4. In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt, then add to margarine mixture and mix well.
5. Stir in oats and almonds.
6. Shape to form crescents and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
7. Bake at 325F degrees 15-18 minutes or until light golden brown.
8. Sift powdered sugar over warm crescents.
