Ingredients
- 3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
2. Drop all of the ingredients into a large bowl.
3. Using your hands, mash it! Knead it!! Pound it!!! The longer and harder you mix, it the better it will taste.
4. Roll the dough into 48 small balls.
5. Bake on a cookie sheet at 350F degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Brown sugar is always measured as packed. The flour is all purpose. It it was self rising the recipe would not call for baking powder.

Does it matter if the brown sugar is packed or not? And is the flour all-purpose or self-rising? Thank you very much.

these are really good cookies. I found thjis recipe about 40 years ago in Peg Bracken's "I hate to cook" book, She called them "Agression cookies"
