- 3 1/2 pounds pot roast
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 onions, cut into wedges
- 1 can (about 8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 cup picante sauce
- 1 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 green pepper, coarsely chopped
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the beef in vegetable oil on all sides. Add to slow cooker, along with onions, tomato sauce, picante sauce, cumin, oregano, cloves, and pepper. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until meat is cooked through.
