Slow Cooked Beef Brisket

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 1/2 pounds beef brisket
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
Instructions
- In a bowl combine water, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, bouillon, mustard, chili powder, red pepper, and garlic. Mix well. Reserve 1/2 cup liquid for sauce.
- Trim fat from brisket. If necessary, cut brisket to fit inside slow cooker. Place meat inside slow cooker and cover. Cook on low-heat setting for 10 to 12 hours or high-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours.
- In a small sauce pan combine 1/2 c reserved liquid, ketchup, brown sugar, and margarine. Heat through. Pass sauce with meat.
