Traditional Beef Stew
When you're craving Mom's home cooking, there's nothing better than this Traditional Beef Stew. This old fashioned beef stew recipe has all the good stuff and is sure to warm you up from the inside out.

Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 pounds stewing beef
- 1 pound carrots, sliced
- 6 potatoes, cubed
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients in a 5-quart slow cooker and add enough water to cover the ingredients.
- Cook on low 7 to 8 hours or on high 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Discard bay leaves before serving. Serve with hot rolls or biscuits.
