Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 4-5 largish green or cooking apples (Granny Smith's or Macintosh)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 flour
  • 1 stick butter (8 TBS) NOT melted
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • cinnamon
  • ground cloves

Instructions

Grease casserole dish. Peel and slice apples and put in dish (fill to below rim of dish). Combine sugar, flour, butter and crumble together with fork. On top of apples sprinkle cinnamon, cloves, water and lemon juice. Cover with topping. Bake 30 minutes at 375F.
