    Bread Pudding W/ Whiskey Sauce

    Ingredients

    • 7 eggs
    • 1 pound sugar
    • 1/2 gallon milk
    • 2 teaspoons butter
    • dash vanilla
    • 1 tablespoon cinnamon and/or nutmeg
    • 2 cups raisins
    • 12 cups stale cinnamon rolls or Danish

    Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350. Grease baking pan with butter. In large mixing bowl combine eggs, milk, sugar, & vanilla. Mix well and set aside. Chop up stale bread, mix with raisins, and place in baking dishes. Spread butter on top of bread then pour custard mixture over the top making sure that all bread is soaked with custard mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon/nutmeg. Place baking dishes in a sheet pan filled with water and bake for 30 minutes. Whiskey Sauce 1/2 pound butter 1 pound sugar 5 eggs 1/2 pint whiskey Melt butter in a saucepan and add sugar. Cook for a few minutes and let mixture cool. Mix the eggs and the whiskey. After they are mixed well, pour into the butter and sugar. Cook for 2 minutes. Do not overcook. Pour sauce over pudding....
