Eggnog Pie
"This easy Eggnog Pie is one of our favorite holiday desserts. My kids absolutely love eggnog, and we start buying it the moment we spy it in stores. I started making this easy pie years ago, and now my kids are in charge of making it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It really is that easy. This is a great dessert for the holidays because it's easy and nice and light. So even if you are full from your holiday dinner, you probably will have room to spare for this light and fluffy dessert! I use a store-bought pie crust, but you can always make your own. A graham cracker crust or Biscoff cookie crust would be delicious. Serve this delicious pie with a dollop of whipped cream or whipped topping and a little sprinkle of ground nutmeg for extra flavor. The ingredients you need to make this pie are simple: Pie crust Vanilla instant pudding -- not cook and serve Eggnog -- I use regular eggnog, not with rum or rum flavored. Nutmeg -- just a dash for extra flavor Cool Whip -- or any non dairy whipped topping. Make sure it is completely thawed first! After preparing the pie, you do need to let is chill for at least 4 hours or overnight. We usually make it the day before the holiday, but you can make it a couple of days in advance. You can even freeze the pie for longer storage. This pie serves about 8 people. Tips -- You only need 2 cups of Cool Whip. You will have a little bit of whipped topping left over, if you use the smaller container, to decorate the pie or serve with it. You can easily double the recipe and make 2 pies at once. We do this so we will have leftover pie the next day! "
