Lemon Pie Bars

Ingredients
- 1 box lemon cake mix
- 1 box lemon pudding mix (prepared)
- powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Set aside.

In a large bowl, pour the whole box of dry lemon cake mix.

Prepare the lemon pudding mix according to the instructions on the box.

Pour the prepared lemon pudding mix into the bowl of dry lemon cake mix and mix until combined. Do not overmix.

Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Take pan out of the oven and sprinkle powdered sugar over the top of the cake. Let cool, cut into bars, and serve.

most cake mixes are a standard size But instant pudding comes in two sizes. this recipe does not tell you which size to use.

The simplicity of this Lemon Pie Bars recipe truly intrigued me. Once I made them I was hooked and inspired to experiment with other cake and pudding flavor combinations...chocolate cake with chocolate pudding, vanilla cake with vanilla pudding etc. It works perfectly every time. I'm going to try baking them into cupcakes next, the possibilities are endless. Let your imagination run wild.
