This is such a beautiful Spring dessert. I've never made any kind of lemon bars, so I think I'll start with these. The recipe seems pretty easy, and it doesn't make a huge amount. I think I'll make them for a March family get-together.

These are well worth the time if you like a fresh lemon taste! I made two batches at the same time and froze one after cooking and was just fine after thawing. I try to keep something on hand for emergency pot lucks, and this is always a big hit. Even people who have never been fans of lemon desserts said they liked these.
