Holy cow! What a colorful and fun cake! The kids will absolutely love it. It's a really fun idea to make a sort of inside out cake - usually the cake is plain looking and the top decoration is the star of the show, but this is the opposite. I love the whipped cream "frosting" since it is creamy and not too sweet. It reminds me of that rainbow swirl superman ice cream I used to get at the old fashioned ice cream shoppe as a child. Love it!
