Do you know where this dessert came from? I have heard it a couple of times, but I can't seem to find out much about it. It sure sounds like it is going to be a favorite of mine. I love the chocolate layers. Chocolate and whipped cream make delicious dessert starters, so this is going to be good.

Just LOVE the name of this pudding. And OMW! have you looked at the recipe? The really good news is that it tastes every bit as delicious as it sounds. The combination of chocolate and cream cheese with cream results in a dessert that is rich and very very tasty just like its namesake lol

I love the neat, layered appearance of this dessert. It looks nice in square portions like that and I'm sure it'll look great in triangular slices as well. Perhaps strawberry pudding could be used in place of chocolate pudding for a different color. Then the slices could have strawberries in syrup where the chocolate curls are.

I wouldn't say I am a Robert Redford fan but the name of it sure draws your attention anyway. It would seem that the name is not the draw card for this dessert, however, as it looks simply amazing. Simple being the operative word because it is so easy to make. It also looks very professional the way it is layered and served. As if it was prepared by a pastry chef!

I have never heard of this desert before, I love the name. This looks like a real crowd pleaser alright, I am definitely going to have to give this one a try before the parent in laws come for dinner again. Could you use sweet n low instead of cream or would this take away from the dish? My mother in law is not the biggest cream fan!

This looks like such a delicious dessert! I even love the garnish of chocolate shavings on the top... although you could add plenty of other yummy toppings instead.

I may have died and gone to heaven! I love puddings and cream pies and everything creamy. Plus, chocolate and cream cheese and real whipped cream. I like the crust thicker or thinner. I love crust, but the creamy part is the star so I want that to shine. I think you could vary this with any flavor pudding you want to make.

Thanks for posting the recipe. But, FYI this is not the Robert Redford dessert (which has lemon pudding in the middle layer). This is a later variation, which goes by many names including, "Better Than Robert Redford" "Better Than Sex". lol

All I know is that I love almost anything with chocolate and cream cheese , but this is sending my taste beyond compare.
