Pear Apple Crisp
"This Pear Apple Crisp combines two of the best fall fruits into one delicious crisp, flavored with vanilla, cinnamon and ginger and topped with a grain-free crumble topping. This crisp is gluten-free, Paleo, and vegan. The flavor combination is incredible. The warmth of the cinnamon, the sweetness of the vanilla, and the slight spiciness from the ginger complement each other and the fruit so wonderfully. The crisp topping is nut-based, using almond flour to hold everything together, with sliced almonds and walnuts for crunch."

I love the combination of fruits in this as well as the use of two different types of apples and pears. It does add a lot to the taste and texture of the dish. I've always liked apple crisp and the addition of the pears to it makes it even more delicious. This is perfect with some whipped topping or vanilla ice cream as suggested. I can easily see making this for guests.

I've made apple crisp, but I've never thought to add in pears! I bet the sweet pears would perfectly complement the tart apples.

I've made pear crisp and apple crisp separately, never together. But why not? The tastes are complimentary and the topping here goes well with both. I like how they're served, too, in the little ramekins. I never thought of doing that either!
