Holiday Lemon Fondue
For a romantic twist holiday fondue recipe, try this Holiday Lemon Fondue. Warm fondue recipes make great holiday appetizers, and this lemon fondue is a sweet, zesty twist on the normal chocolate and cheese fondues.

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons lemon peel, grated
- Strawberries, gingerbread and/or bite-sized meringues
Instructions
- In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in water until smooth.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened.
- Remove from the heat; stir in butter, lemon juice and peel until butter is melted.
- Transfer to a fondue pot and keep warm. Serve immediately.
