This is one of the best dips I have ever tasted. Definitely the best I have ever made! The man of the house added a little fresh chopped garlic and chili (because that is what he loves) and I must admit that it was delicious. We had a drinks party on Saturday and this dip disappeared faster than anything else so I guess it was a winner!

My family loved this recipe. With most recipes I change the rules. I purchased sour cream for another optional choice. Some people were asking what kind of beans, this recipe is good for "almost"any type of bean, black, navy, kidney, etc. even Bushes chili beans.

I use home cooked pinto beans, with a little jiuce, and mash just a little so still has some chuncks.

good grief people...beans ARE the last ingredient listed, and use in step#2. Hello?

hmmmmm...... I know! what about Pinto or black or refried beans. All of those would work!

Where are the beans in the ingredients and what kind?

Whateans??? None listed in the ingredients list.

what kind of beans?

What beans? Instructions mention putting beans on top of cream cheese mixture, but are not listed under Ingredients.
