Amaretto Alexander
For a creamy ice cream dessert drink, blend together a simple Amaretto Alexander. This sweet treat is one of the easier alcoholic drink recipes available because it's made with only four ingredients.
Ingredients
- 12 Amaretto liqueur
- 1 pint half-and-half
- 6 ounces white creme de cacao
- 1 1/2 quart vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- Combine Amaretto, creme de cacao, and half-and-half in blender.
- Put a scoop of ice cream in each sherbet glass and the remainder in blender; blend well.
- Pour into sherbet glasses and serve.

One of my favorite cream drinks is a Brandy Alexander. One restaurant I went to in college made their cream drinks with real ice cream, and their Brandy Alexander was a real treat. The idea of making this with Amaretto is a great idea and I'm glad to see this recipe also uses ice cream for the cream part. I'm definitely going to be making this up. It's the sort of drink that can easily double as a dessert. I'd probably add some chocolate shavings on top as well before serving.
