Lemon, Ginger+Turmeric Tea with Eastern Shore Honey
"Turmeric is a wonderful spice that most of us simply don’t get enough of. Not only does it give our favorite curries a bright color and a earthy flavor, but it is anti-inflammatory as well. Curcumin, a chemical compound found in the turmeric plant, may help to reduce swelling and irritations in the body. Research is ongoing about the uses of turmeric, so in the meantime we’ll just enjoy this tea when we’re cold in the winter! Ginger root is very warming and soothing, and makes this tea perfect when you have a bit of a cold. Combined with the lemon and Eastern Shore Honey, it’s warm and just sweet enough. If you like, add coconut milk for a cup that’s similar to spiced chai."
