Quince Alexander
"Seasonal quince twist on Harry Craddock's 1930 recipe for Alexander Cocktail. (No. 2.) appearing in The Savoy Cocktail Book, using a vintage style quince cordial, dark creme de cocoa, coconut cream, with a wattleseed garnish. The Alexander was originally a gin based cocktail but over time came to have a brandy base - it is known as an Alexander, Alexander No. 2 and a Panama. This seasonal quince version makes the most of winter quinces preserved in cognac with spices to add a unique tart floral quince flavour along with creamy texture and chocolate spice notes garnished with the unique coffee chocolate flavour of toasted Australian indigenous spice wattleseed. A modern seasonal quince recreation of a classic vintage dessert cocktail using the pairing of quinces and wattleseed."
