I used the thermometer to take the temperature of pork tenderloin. I could not have had a better experience. The buttons were intuitive and the device was extremely simple to use. All I had to do is turn it on and stick the tip into the center of the tenderloin. It registered on the display very quickly and accurately. When I cut into the meat, it was the exact temperature I was looking to achieve.
The other buttons on the device allow you to change different aspects of how you use the thermometer. You can change back and forth between Fahrenheit and Celsius. You can also set a minimum or maximum temperature so that you do not undercook or overcook your meat.
I love that they include a magnet with the thermometer. You can keep it on the fridge where you can easily grab it and won't accidentally injure yourself. I found this a very convenient option.
The size of this thermometer makes it ideal for taking the temperature of thin cuts of fish and meat. I would not use it for a large roast because the tip would not reach the center of the cut. The waterproof function makes it great for taking outside to barbecue chicken or steak.
