Emile Henry Chicken Roaster

The Emile Henry Ceramic Chicken Roaster is a unique piece of bakeware that will change the way you cook up chicken. The two-piece baker is built to maximize the circulation of heat, creating a perfectly cooked piece of meat. This bakeware is made from the same durable ceramic as other Emile Henry pieces, allowing you to use it in high heat, the microwave, and even the dishwasher.



The shape and build of this roaster is quite different than any other I have used. The doomed lid sits atop the oval bottom, and is shaped to hold a whole chicken, big or small. Not all roasters or Dutch ovens can properly hold a chicken like this one. 



The domed lid is not just designed to fit a chicken, but also to cook it perfectly. Steam is allowed to rise and circulate, making for a juicy chicken. The ridges on the bottom also keep the chicken elevated, helping it cook, and keeping it from sitting in the juices. This design, as a whole, eliminates the need to baste while cooking. 



I love this piece from Emile Henry because it helps make delicious recipes, and is perfect for serving at the table. The gorgeous ceramic can be glazed with the burgundy or charcoal color. This cookware is beautiful, but also shockingly durable. It can be used in extremely high heat, in the microwave, and it can even go in the dishwasher after use.  The strong build, clever design, and aesthetically pleasing look make it the perfect gift.
