Vidalia Chop Wizard Review

Slicing, dicing and chopping are not one of my favorite things to do. Using knives to cut up vegetables for a stew or chili not only hurts my hand and wrist, but it scares me, too; I'm always afraid I'm going to chop a finger off or slice into my hand, it just makes me cringe. Luckily I was able to test out the As Seen on TV Vidalia Chop Wizard and I am sold. I will never use a knife again to cut up fruits or vegetables.


The Vidalia Chop Wizard is the easiest and fastest way to cut up produce; you simply place the product on top of the blade grate and swing the top lid down and voila, you're done. Each Chop Wizard comes with a chopping blade that creates cube shapes, a dicing blade that creates more of a shoestring shape and a lid cleaning tool. Let me tell you, the lid cleaning tool is absolutely amazing. After you dice you'll get tiny little pieces stuck in the top lid that are impossible to get out with your fingers. The cleaning tool is a tiny fork-like tool that fits in between all the little grooves of the lid and with one swift motion all the food pieces will come out. Once you're done with that you can throw it in the dishwasher for a convenient cleanup.


When making chili there are so many ingredients you have to cut up that just becomes so time-consuming, and don't even get me started on the water works that occur when cutting up onions. With the Vidalia Chop Wizard, not only can you cut your time in half, but you can chop those onions without shedding a single tear. This gadget is great for apples, pears, tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers and so much more. I personally had a bit of a difficult time chopping an apple, so I had to slice it up around the core before using the Wizard. Perhaps I wasn't strong enough to push the whole thing through the blade, but either way it saved me time and my kids were eating apples right away.


If you're following a certain recipe that calls for a specific amount of vegetables you can turn the Wizard on its side where it poses as a measuring cup. Right away you can see how much you have already chopped and how much more you need to go.


Meal prep time has never been easier with this tool. The stainless steel blades make everything a breeze and are perfect for those with arthritis or hand problems. Never use a knife again when you have the Vidalia Chop Wizard.
