    Tangerine Sorbet

    Ingredients

    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1 cup freshly squeezed tangerine juice
    • juice of half a lemon (about 1 tablespoon)
    • grated peel of 1 1/2 tangerines (about 1 teaspoon)
    • 1/4 cup Grand Marnier or other orange or tangerine liqueur
    • 1 cup muscat wine

    Instructions

    Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a slow boil, stirring frequently. Combine the syrup with all other ingredients in a bowl, and stir thoroughly. Finish in an ice cream maker.
