    Escalloped Pineapple

    Ingredients

    • 1 cube butter
    • 2 cups sugar (start with less and add to taste)
    • 3 egg
    • 16 ounces can canned crushed pineapple, drained
    • 4 cups bread, cubed

    Instructions

    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add pineapple. Fold in bread cubes. Pour in baking dish and bake for 1 hour at 350F.

    This is like an updated bread pudding. The bread you use can really make a difference, so I would use a good bakery bread. It's filling, so a little goes a long way, but if you need to provide a dessert for a lot of people and little money, this might be the dessert you need.
