Brandy Cake
Ingredients
- 250 grams butter
- 250 grams sugar
- 6 eggs
- 250 grams flour
- 1 package (17 g in Germany) baking powder
- 250 grams diced sweet chocolate
- some apricot jam
- 50 grams almond leaves
- 1/4 litre brandy
Instructions
Cream sugar and butter, add eggs one after the other. Combine baking powder with flour and add to the dough. Grease or line a springform, fill in the dough and bake the cake for about 1 hour at 350 F. Prick the cake with a thin wooden stick on various places and distribute brandy over the cake. Let cool off, brush the cake with apricot jam and chocolate which has been dissolved prior in a bain marie. Decorate with almond leaves.
